Leadership Upper Valley is a program of Vital Communities which fosters civic awareness in the community by empowering participants with useful information that enables them to become more involved in pursuits that enhance the Upper Valley region. We offer a yearlong institute, The Leadership Institute, bringing this region's leaders and emerging leaders together to gain knowledge, resources, and partnerships to make a difference in the Upper Valley.

History

Based on the acclaimed Leadership New Hampshire program, Leadership Upper Valley was launched in 2006 under the auspices of the Lebanon Area Chamber of Commerce. In 2008 Leadership Upper Valley joined Vital Communites.

 

The Leadership Institute

Leadership Upper Valley is the home of The Leadership Institute, a 10 month program that inspires leaders from successful businesses and enterprises to learn about our region. No other program offers such a comprehensive overview of the Upper Valley. The professional instructors provide participants with outstanding opportunities and experiences. The institute begins in September and runs until June meeting for day long sessions once a month exploring such topics as:

Health and Human Services

Environment

The Arts and the Creative Economy

Education
