Quest Box First Aid

Quite often Quests change over time. Points of reference--even houses--move; the landscape changes; and some boxes end up with some contents missing. This is all part of the life cycle of a Quest site. Because we know this happens we have created this page to help you, the Quester, have a more enjoyable time when out looking for the boxes.

If you have difficulty with the clues and find that, say, a post that was once a reference point has been cut down to a stump...and it took a couple of walk-bys to find it, or that a sign has been removed or changed color, please let us know. We will post this information on our website so that the clues are kept as up-to-date as possible. Please forward this information to Laura by email or call (802)291-9100 ext 107.

Laura supports our team of Box Monitors. Along with making sure our clues are as accurate as possible, a box monitor takes care of one or more of the Valley Quest boxes, visiting "their" Quest sites on a regular basis. They make sure that the sign in books still have room for more visitors, ink pads and pens still work and that the stamp has not been eaten by the rubber stamp monsters who occasionally visit our Quest Boxes.

When you contact Laura, she will pass on your information to the nearest Box Monitor so the box can be repaired and post any corrections on our website.

Many people out Questing will take a spare small notepad, a stamp pad and pen in case they come across a popular Quest site that needs some TLC. You might want to carry around some of these items yourself to help the Valley Quest Community and keep the boxes in tip top shape.

If you want to become a box monitor and join our team of volunteers looking after the Quest boxes, please contact Laura Dintino, Valley Quest's Coordinator.

"I have been so amazed at where these quests are taking us. "
