A great nature walk minutes away from downtown Hanover.

Take exit 13 of of I-91 to Hanover. Travel east into Hanover and turn right on to Main Street. After 0.6 miles turn left onto Mink Brook Road. Continue straight for 0.2 miles. The parking will be on your right.

This Quest is an amalgam of two Mink Brook Quests, 2002

The name of the road is just "Brook Road," not Mink Brook Road. The Hanover Conservation Council, with the help of some friends, has built a great bridge for crossing the brook. If you don't feel like fording the brook you can easily add it to the Quest. In the 7th paragraph when you are supposed to bear right at the crab apple tree, stay on the path walk around 190 steps straight ahead and another path will appear on your right. This path has light blue blazes and will eventually have a sign. Take this path and it will lead you to the new bridge -- which is so cool. You will rejoin the Quest at the sandbar, paragraph 15, you can back track to see the beaver dam or continue left to find the treasure! August 10, 2009.
