Upper Valley 250
In 2011, twelve towns in the Upper Valley will be celebrating the 250th Anniversary of their charters. Canaan, Enfield, Fairlee, Hanover, Hartford, Hartland, Lebanon, Lyme, Norwich, Plainfield, Thetford or Windsor, are part of a group known as the Middle Grants. In 1761, Governor Benning Wentworth issued the charters to these towns and many more.

Colonial Quest Curriculum
Valley Quest has an all new Colonial Quest Curriculum. Thanks to a generous grant from the Vermont Humanities Council, this standards-based curriculum is available on-line for teachers to use in examining early settlement history via the lens of your hometown. These quests are the results of classrooms using this curriculum to help their towns celebrate their 250th:
