the Farm to Dartmouth Project (FTD) ...
Got 5 minutes?
- Thank Dartmouth Dining Service employees for being a part of the project
- Get to know those who serve you
- Notice when there is local food on the menu and tell employees you support it
- Encourage friends to get involved with FTD
- Fill out DDS comment cards, expressing your support for the local foods served
- Keep an eye out for surveys related to FTD… and fill them out!
- Write and sign letters of support for the FTD project
An hour?
- Volunteer at Dartmouth's Organic Farm
- Volunteer at Valley Food & Farm to help:
- Contact farmers interested in FTD
- Send out mailings
- Publicize the project
- Create promotional materials
- Set up and coordinate visits with local farmers
Two hours/week?
- Join the FTD Taskforce (which particularly needs an ‘08 and an ’09 student)
- Attend student group meetings
- Help organize and host potluck dinners to talk about the project
320 hours or an off term?
