Emergency Ride Home

"You don't have to deal with parking at all!" –DHMC employee

Even if you carpool, take the bus, bike or walk to work there is a way home in case of emergency.

Explore taking the bus to work or school.

When you join a carpool you become eligible for Emergency Ride Home, a benefit that helps offset the stress of getting home quickly in the event of an emergency by covering some or all of the costs. Whether it's for a personal illness, family crisis, unscheduled overtime, or other qualifying workday emergency, UVRS offers an emergency benefit up to $300 per year to registered carpoolers. You must register your carpool before the emergency to be eligible! For more information or to register, click here or call 802-295-1824 x 204. If you are a registered carpooler with Go Vermont, your emergency taxi or rental car will be free.
