There is more than delicious cookies happening at King Arthur Flour.

Employees participating in Smart Commute saved $68,860 from 2010 to 2011 by changing their driving habits to work. Instead of riding alone in a car, employees have tried bus transit, walking, biking and carpooling. The carpool rate jumped from 8.5% in 2010 to 31.3% in 2011. King Arthur also promotes active transportation with its bike share program.  Employees can leave their cars behind and check out a bike for travel between the company's Route 5 facilities.
